Bloomberg reported that Apple is expected to introduce new smart-home equipment on 13 October, citing unnamed insiders. The report was carried by Dutch news agency ANP and published by Nieuws.nl. [1]
The reported centrepiece is a screen-based hub that would let family members control devices around the home and view contacts, messages and calendar appointments. It would recognise who is using it by voice or face and adapt what it displays, according to the report. [1]
The reported products would also showcase Apple’s new Siri AI assistant. Apple did not comment on the plans. [1]
