Michael Douglas has pushed back against the idea that he has slept with as many women as people assume. In an interview with The Times, reported by Dutch outlet Nieuws.nl on 4 October, the 82-year-old actor described himself as a product of the 1960s but said he did not see his past in those terms. He gave no number of partners. [1]
The subject came up ahead of the planned Tuesday release of his memoir, One Helluva Ride. Douglas said the book mentions only a few women. Nieuws.nl also reported that an earlier excerpt had him acknowledging an affair with fellow actor Kathleen Turner during the filming of Romancing the Stone, which it said he had denied for 40 years. [1]
Douglas also denied ever having been addicted to sex. He said a British tabloid editor had invented that story, which he said people were still discussing at the age of 82. [1]
