Frank van Leeuwen said his nerves grew on Thursday as he prepared for the Televizier-Ring Gala in Amsterdam. The presenter, nominated for the Televizier-Ring Talent award for the first time, told ANP he had felt relaxed after hosting his morning programme. But good-luck messages from family and friends that afternoon left him with what he described as a knot in his stomach. [1]
Van Leeuwen, a presenter of NPO 1’s Goedemorgen Nederland, is nominated alongside Bram Krikke and Daan Alferink. He called them strong competitors and joked that he and Alferink had agreed they each had a 50% chance, while acknowledging that they were not the judges. Nieuws.nl reported that Krikke would not attend Thursday evening’s gala. Van Leeuwen made his remarks before the award was announced. [1]
