Eric Bauza, the voice actor behind Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck and Porky Pig, has died aged 46, his family has said.
A statement posted on Instagram said Bauza died “suddenly”. Variety reported that he died at home on Sunday and that the cause was hypertensive cardiovascular disease.
Bauza voiced several Looney Tunes characters, including Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Elmer Fudd and Foghorn Leghorn in *Space Jam: A New Legacy*. He reprised some of those roles, as well as Road Runner, in *Coyote vs. Acme*, and appeared in the recent release *Forgotten Island*.
He also played Toad General in *The Super Mario Bros. Movie* and its sequel, *The Super Mario Galaxy Movie*. Between 2022 and 2025, he won three Emmy awards for outstanding voice performance.
Born in Ontario and of Filipino descent, Bauza said in a 2021 interview with NBC News that he grew up a fan of Looney Tunes and copied the characters’ voices as a child.
Channing Dungey, chairman of Warner Bros. Television Group and US Networks, said Bauza “brought joy and laughter to millions around the world”.
