Crysencio Summerville says talks with Al-Hilal’s coach and technical director persuaded him to leave West Ham United for the Saudi club. The Netherlands winger said the contract’s financial terms were part of a wider package that felt right to him. [1]
Speaking in Thessaloniki on Wednesday, 30 September, ahead of the Netherlands’ Nations League match against Greece, Summerville said he had received offers from several clubs after the World Cup, including clubs in Europe. His remarks were reported by Dutch news agency ANP and published by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Ronald Koeman first called Summerville into the Netherlands squad, and the winger scored twice at the World Cup. He has retained his starting place under Xavi Hernández. Summerville said the coaches differ but, in his view, share a philosophy; he described Hernández as open and honest. [1]
