The sale is due to begin at 12:00 on 5 October and cover cinemas and theatres across the Netherlands, according to Nieuws.nl, which attributes the announcement to Disney. The outlet says the film will be shown from 16 December. [1]
Nieuws.nl also reports that US advance-ticket sales exceeded $50 million over several months. It says $16.5 million of that was spent in the first 24 hours after tickets went on sale there on 21 July. [1]
Disney and cinema chain Vue are also planning a fan day on 16 December, Nieuws.nl reports. An Amsterdam cinema is set to be given a Doctor Doom theme, with a special message from the cast before the film. [1]
Pathé sold nearly 6,000 tickets for December screenings of *Avengers: Doomsday* in the first half-hour of advance sales, a spokesperson for the cinema chain told the ANP news agency, according to Nieuws.nl.
