The aurora borealis lit skies in parts of the UK on Halloween and could be visible again on Sunday night, though cloud may obscure some areas.

The Northern Lights were visible across parts of the UK on Halloween night, with Scotland and Northern Ireland among the best-placed areas after cloud and rain moved south, BBC Weather reported.
Photographs showed vivid green and blue displays in locations including Nairn, Shetland and the Scottish Borders. The aurora was also seen in parts of Wales, including near Dolgellau.
There may be another chance to see the lights on Sunday night, particularly in northern Scotland, the Met Office Space Weather Centre said, according to the BBC. But a weather front could bring cloud to the far north, and any display is expected to be less intense than Saturday’s, with activity gradually easing from Monday.
