Sir Tom Jones has rescheduled two US concerts after coming down with flu, saying he was acting on his doctor’s advice and apologising to fans for the disruption.
The 86-year-old singer’s Monday show in Los Angeles has been moved to 4 November, and Tuesday’s concert in San Diego will now take place on 3 November at The Rady Shell at Jacobs Park.
Jones said on Instagram that he had completed 20 shows in recent weeks before being hit by “a bad case of the flu”. Tickets for the original dates will remain valid; those unable to attend the new dates can contact their original point of purchase for a refund, he said.
The concerts are part of his Come Gather Round world tour. The Los Angeles venue wished him well after his announcement, which came hours before he was due to perform there.
