AI ANALYSIS & OPINION

Donald Trump has urged New Yorkers to vote for 13 Republicans he had already endorsed, in an appeal two days before early voting begins on 24 October.
The 22 October 2026 Truth Social message, reproduced by the Trump’s Truth archive, gives the candidates his “Complete and Total Endorsement” and directs readers to Swamp the Vote USA.
His list names Bruce Blakeman for governor and Saritha Komatireddy for attorney general, alongside 11 candidates for the US House of Representatives.
The House choices are Nick LaLota in the 1st district, Andrew Garbarino in the 2nd, Mike LiPetri in the 3rd, Jeanine Driscoll in the 4th, Nicole Malliotakis in the 11th and Mike Lawler in the 17th. He also backs Peter Oberacker in the 19th, Anthony Constantino in the 21st, Kailee Buller in the 22nd, Nick Langworthy in the 23rd and Claudia Tenney in the 24th.
All 13 appear as Republican candidates for those offices in the New York State Board of Elections’ certification. Archived posts record Trump’s backing for 12 of them on 13 August and for Komatireddy on 14 August, each for the same office named in the latest appeal.
Trump also issued a similar turnout appeal for nine Michigan Republicans on 22 October.
The linked Swamp the Vote USA page explicitly seeks Republican turnout. Its form asks visitors for contact and address details to show personalised voting options, and says providing a phone number enrols them in a recurring text-messaging programme.
As displayed on 23 October, its short calendar lists 24 October as both the voter-registration deadline and the “Mail-In Ballot Request Deadline”. The date matches official guidance for postal and online ballot applications, but does not cover every application method.
The State Board of Elections says registration applications must be received by 24 October. Ballot requests sent by post or made online must also reach the county board by then — posting an application that day is not enough.
Early in-person voting runs from 24 October to 1 November, ahead of election day on 3 November.
Any registered voter may apply for an early mail ballot. The campaign timeline leaves out a later option: voters can apply in person at their county board of elections until 2 November.
