Suriname beat Honduras 3–2 away in the Nations League in Henk Fraser’s first match as national coach, recovering from an early setback to win through a second-half own goal. [1]
Justin Lonwijk put Suriname ahead in the 18th minute after a pass from Gyrano Kerk. Honduras hit back with goals from Dereck Moncada and Bryan Róchez and led five minutes after Lonwijk’s opener. Denzel Jubitana equalised before half-time after another move involving Kerk. [1]
In the 66th minute, Jubitana’s deflected cross went in. The winning goal was recorded as an own goal by Honduras’s Luis Palma. [1]
