Bollywood actor Tiger Shroff was unharmed in a shooting outside a football club in Mumbai, police say. Two people were injured, including his driver, local media reported.
The 36-year-old was in a car leaving the club in Juhu on Sunday evening when gunmen fired at it. Video published by several news outlets appears to show at least two attackers firing several shots at the front passenger seat as the car moved past a crowd, according to the BBC. [1]
Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde visited Shroff after the incident. He said the actor and his mother had been left “shaken” and vowed to stop attempts to intimidate people. [1]
The shooting comes amid wider concern over attacks on prominent figures in India. In 2024, police arrested two men over a gun attack targeting actor Salman Khan’s home; that year, politician Baba Siddique was shot dead in Mumbai. [1]
