India’s Adani Ports has agreed to buy Dutch-based liquid-storage operator Evos in a deal valuing the company at €2.6 billion, giving the port operator a foothold in European terminals. The acquisition still requires regulatory approval.
Evos operates eight terminals in ports across several countries, including Amsterdam and Rotterdam. It is Europe’s second-largest independent liquid-storage operator, according to ANP and Reuters.
Adani Ports says the acquisition would expand its liquid-products business and help it respond to demand for newer fuels, including sustainable aviation fuel and biofuels. Evos is being sold by London-based investor Igneo Infrastructure Partners.
