Prince Albert and Princess Charlène welcomed Italian President Sergio Mattarella and his daughter Laura to Monaco’s palace on Friday, 2 October, during a state visit. At a reception in the palace’s Family Salon, Albert awarded the president the Grand Cross of the Order of Saint-Charles, Monaco’s highest distinction, Nieuws.nl reported, citing the Monegasque court. Laura Mattarella received the Grand Cross of the Order of Grimaldi. President Mattarella, in turn, presented Princess Charlène with the Grand Cross of the Italian Order of Merit. [1]
