Bob Dylan performed Randy Newman’s “Louisiana 1927” for the first time at a concert in Oslo, opening his European tour with a song about the devastating floods that struck the US state in 1927. The 1974 song had not previously featured in Dylan’s live performances, according to Rolling Stone, as reported by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Dylan also played several songs he had not performed live for years. He gave “Tangled Up in Blue” a substantially changed arrangement, its first live outing since 2018, and played “Crash on the Levee (Down in the Flood)” for the first time since 2005.
The Oslo Spektrum concert featured 19 songs. Dylan’s tour continues in Denmark on Monday; no performances in the Netherlands are scheduled, Nieuws.nl reports. [1]
