Ebusco has delayed October pay for its 230 employees amid acute financial problems, as talks with shareholders over short-term funding take longer than expected.

Ebusco has postponed paying its employees’ October salaries as the Dutch electric-bus maker faces acute financial problems. The company says talks with shareholders about short-term funding for operating costs are taking longer than expected, despite describing the discussions as progressing well.
The Deurne-based company said it deeply regretted the delay. It employs 230 people. Last month, Ebusco warned of “substantial uncertainty about continuity” unless it secured additional financing soon.
Cancelled orders and delayed deliveries have contributed to the company’s financial difficulties, according to ANP. Bus production is now almost at a standstill. Ebusco delivered three buses in the third quarter, bringing its total for the year so far to 19.
