Albert Heijn shelves were still missing some fresh produce and other goods at shops across the Netherlands on Friday morning, despite the supermarket chain saying the day before that stores were being fully supplied again, ANP reporters observed. Staff were restocking, but said filling the shelves would take time. [1]
At an Albert Heijn XL in Tilburg, gaps remained in the onion, fruit and meat sections. A worker told an ANP reporter that restocking was happening gradually and “just takes time”. In Rotterdam, vegetables, fruit and dairy were still hard to find at one store, while a nearby branch had more produce available.
At an Albert Heijn To Go at The Hague Central station, grapes, strawberries and milk were unavailable, as were some longer-lasting items, including Fanta soft drinks and Doritos crisps. The shortages followed a cyber-security incident at the supermarket chain. [1]
