The Dutch broadcaster EO will air a documentary about the Oranje Fonds on 12 December, featuring King Willem-Alexander and Queen Máxima discussing their work with social initiatives, Nieuws.nl reports.
The documentary, titled *Appeltjes van Oranje*, will follow three community organisers. Filmmaker Sam Hoevenaar will also accompany the royal couple during their work around the country and speak to them about their support for social projects.
The Oranje Fonds supports people and organisations working to improve society. Willem-Alexander and Máxima received the fund as a wedding gift from the Dutch public in 2002 and have since visited dozens of initiatives, according to Nieuws.nl.
The fund’s annual Appeltjes van Oranje awards recognise organisations working to strengthen social connections. Queen Máxima presented this year’s awards at Noordeinde Palace.
