Dutch radio presenter Eddy Keur is leaving NPO Radio 2 after Christmas and will stop hosting his Friday-afternoon programme, Keur In De Middag. He announced the decision in an interview with De Telegraaf, as reported by Nieuws.nl. [1]
Keur said the NPO’s removal of overnight broadcasts because of budget cuts had left him feeling low. He said he began looking elsewhere after the station could not offer him more work. Another station has made a serious offer that might let him return to night radio, he said, although a new job is not yet certain. [1]
NPO Radio 2 told the ANP news agency that it would announce a successor for the Friday-afternoon slot later. Keur’s final broadcast date has not been specified. [1]
