Hoogvliet and energy companies have temporarily taken some websites offline ahead of a PHP security update, while Eneco says its essential systems were not affected.
Review information is loading.
Hoogvliet has taken its website offline as a precaution after warnings about vulnerabilities in PHP, while several websites in the energy sector have also been temporarily switched off. The measures come ahead of a security update that PHP’s organisation said it would publish at 16:00 Dutch time on 21 October. [1]
Hoogvliet said it would restore access once the update had been installed and the site was considered safe. Its teams were working to install updates as quickly as possible, the supermarket said. [1]
Energy company Eneco said it had also taken the websites of subsidiary Agro Energy and a site about wind turbines in Belgium offline as a precaution. Most of Eneco’s websites could remain online safely, a spokesperson said, adding that its essential systems had not been affected by the vulnerabilities. The websites of grid operators TenneT and Stedin were also temporarily inaccessible. [1]
