Into The Woods in Amsterdam closed at 9.30pm on Saturday, 90 minutes ahead of schedule, after strong winds raised safety concerns at the partly outdoor festival.

Amsterdam’s Into The Woods festival ended an hour and a half early on Saturday because of strong winds, with organisers saying gusts had made it unsafe to shelter in tents.
The event at the NDSM wharf was due to finish at 11pm but closed at 9.30pm after organisers consulted emergency services. The festival takes place partly outdoors, and the Royal Netherlands Meteorological Institute had issued a yellow weather warning for Amsterdam.
Organisers said their main concern was visitors’ safety. Other Amsterdam Dance Event parties scheduled for Saturday night went ahead because they were indoors, an event spokesperson told ANP. The partly outdoor Mystic Garden festival was also due to continue; the spokesperson said its location was less exposed to the strong winds.
