Jake Paul says he will retire from boxing if he loses to Cédric Doumbé in their scheduled fight on 24 December in Dubai.
The 29-year-old American made the claim in a social media video, describing the bout as “dangerous”. He said Doumbé, a two-time kickboxing world champion, had fought “killers” throughout his career and was afraid of nobody.
Paul also joked that if Doumbé lost, he would have been beaten by “a YouTuber with a titanium jaw”. Paul was knocked out in the sixth round by former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua last December; Nieuws.nl reports that he broke his jaw in several places.
