Former Manchester United and England centre-back Chris Smalling has signed for Porto on a contract until the end of the season, with an option for another year, BBC Sport reports. [1]
Smalling, 36, had been without a club since leaving Saudi Pro League side Al-Fayha in the summer. He won two Premier League titles with Manchester United and the Uefa Conference League with Roma, and made 31 appearances for England. [1]
Porto have won their first seven league matches of the season and sit five points ahead of second-placed Benfica. [1]
