In the fifth episode of *The Celebrity Traitors*, comedian Rob Beckett was murdered by the traitors, Hannah Fry was banished after most players voted for her, and YouTuber King Kenny was recruited to replace her.
The episode also put the celebrities through a puzzle-solving “death march”, with black-cloaked guards capturing players who failed to beat the challenge. Leigh-Anne Pinnock called the scene “genuinely terrifying” and said it felt like being in a horror film. The contestants won the task’s prize money for charity. [1]
Beckett laughed when he discovered James Acaster was among the traitors. He said he had been “nowhere near getting Maya Jama and James Acaster” and joked that his friend Romesh Ranganathan would avenge him. Ranganathan, who had been spared, said he was sad to lose his comedy partner. [1]
At the round table, suspicion focused on Fry, a traitor who had been recruited part-way through the series. She was banished by a large majority; Jama and Acaster also voted for her, helping them appear to be faithful players. Fry said she had calculated every possible scenario except the one that unfolded. [1]
After Fry’s departure, the remaining traitors chose Kenny as her replacement, saying his performance as a faithful had impressed them. The episode ended with Kenny joining Jama and Acaster in the turret. *The Celebrity Traitors* continues on BBC One and iPlayer. [1]
