Max Verstappen is due to use a new internal-combustion engine and turbocharger at the Azerbaijan Grand Prix. Both changes fall within his 2026 season allocation, so neither brings a grid penalty. [1]
The FIA’s technical delegate also lists an exhaust set and a new power-unit ancillary component for the Red Bull driver. Verstappen had previously used three engines, three turbochargers and three exhaust sets this season, as well as four ancillary components. The FIA says all four changes comply with the relevant limits. [1]
The FIA’s final starting grid places Verstappen eighth. It lists penalties for four other cars, but none for his number 3 Red Bull. [2]
