Tim Hofman has backed consumer programme Kassa for the Gouden Televizier-Ring as it prepares to move from television to online programming.
Review information is loading.
At the Gouden Televizier-Ring Gala on Thursday evening, Hofman told the ANP news agency that he wanted the Dutch consumer programme Kassa to take the main prize, according to Nieuws.nl. He said it deserved recognition after decades of consumer journalism. In a media landscape he described as crowded with disinformation, artificial intelligence, glamour and nonsense, he considered Kassa particularly valuable. [1]
His support came on the day Nieuws.nl reported that Kassa would leave television after the current season and continue online. Hofman, who presents the online investigative programme BOOS, welcomed the prospect. He said making programmes online offered freedom from a fixed broadcast slot and expected Kassa to make the transition successfully. [1]
Hofman was also nominated for a presenter award, while BOOS was in contention for an Impact award. Nieuws.nl reported that neither won. [1]
