Australian dream-rock duo Fathom have set a Guinness World Record by playing nine concerts in 12 hours across multiple cities, travelling roughly 700km to complete the challenge, the BBC reports. [1]
To qualify, the venues had to be at least 50km apart and in cities with populations above 15,000; at least half the cities also had to have populations of 100,000 or more.
The band partnered with mental health service Beyond Blue, donating half the revenue from ticket sales and merchandise. The BBC spoke to the duo about a day they described as full of excitement and hurdles.
