Five teenagers seriously injured in Chandler’s Ford party stabbing

Five teenagers were seriously injured in a stabbing at a Halloween party in Chandler’s Ford, Hampshire, as police seek witnesses and video footage to help identify the people they say entered the gathering.

The boys — three aged 16 and two aged 17 — were taken to hospital after the attack at a house in Park Road, shortly after 22:30 GMT on Saturday. Hampshire Police said an “unknown group” had gained entry to the party. No further details about suspects were given in the report.

Detective Chief Inspector Elizabeth Pirie said investigators were trying to identify people who attended, witnessed what happened or filmed relevant footage. Police have asked anyone with information, including doorbell-camera recordings covering Park Road and nearby streets, to come forward.

Officers have put cordons in place on Park Road and Valley Road while speaking to witnesses and checking homes for video footage. They have also spoken to residents in neighbouring houses and nearby streets.

Eastleigh MP Liz Jarvis said the community was in shock and urged people not to share information online, but to let police carry out their investigation.

Two local churches said they would open to offer people a place to reflect or light a candle. St Boniface in Hursley Road was due to be open from 09:00 to 17:00 through the week; St Martin in the Wood in Queen’s Road was listed as open from 15:00 to 17:00 from Monday to Wednesday.
