Dutch comedians Najib Amhali and Roué Verveer have received an award recognising 50,000 tickets sold for their joint tour, *Alles is Comedy*. The Vereniging Vrije Theaterproducenten (VVTP) said the award was presented during Friday evening’s performance in Rotterdam.
Amhali said in a statement that it still felt unreal that 50,000 people had come to see the pair. Verveer described the award as recognition from the theatre industry, while crediting audiences for the tour’s success.
The comedians are due to end the tour on 18 December with a performance at the Ziggo Dome in Amsterdam. Amhali said returning to the venue with Verveer, after 25 years of friendship, was a gift.
