Ajax managing director Menno Geelen has been appointed to the board of European Football Clubs (EFC), adding a second European football role to his work at the Dutch club. [1]
Dutch clubs, the Dutch football association (KNVB) and the Eredivisie backed his candidacy, ANP reported in a dispatch carried by Nieuws.nl. Former Feyenoord managing director Dennis te Kloese represented the Netherlands on the EFC board from 2023 to 2026. He gave up his position after leaving for Mexico’s Monterrey. [1]
Geelen joined UEFA’s Club Competitions Committee in February. He became Ajax’s interim managing director in 2024 and was appointed permanently the following year. [1]
