Several major Dutch book websites, including Hebban, CPNB and the Bestseller 60, were taken offline on Wednesday because of vulnerabilities in the widely used programming language PHP. Hebban’s two apps were also temporarily unavailable, according to Nieuws.nl. [1]
A CPNB spokesperson said a security patch was expected to be available at about 16:00. The sites would then be updated and, the spokesperson hoped, brought back online soon. [1]
Hebban is the largest Dutch-language online book platform, with more than 330,000 members. Its classroom website is used by more than 1,000 classes. [1]
