The Netherlands’ 2–1 home win over Serbia on Sunday drew an average of 2.2 million viewers on NPO 1, according to preliminary figures from Nationaal Media Onderzoek (NMO) reported by Nieuws.nl. That made it the most-watched of the Dutch team’s four Nations League matches during the international period. Captain Virgil van Dijk made his 100th appearance for the Netherlands in the game, Nieuws.nl reported. [1]
The other three matches drew between 1.8 million and 2 million viewers. The draw against Germany attracted 1.8 million on NPO 3, the away match against Serbia drew 2 million on NPO 1, and the draw against Greece was watched by 1.9 million on NPO 3. [1]
Nieuws.nl also reported that the talk show Oranje Zondag averaged 650,000 viewers, down from nearly 900,000 the previous week. The figures do not establish what caused the drop. [1]
