A keeper at the Beekse Bergen safari park in the Netherlands has died after being injured in a panther attack on Saturday, the park said on Tuesday.
In a statement, the park said: “Her death deeply affects us all, and our thoughts are with her family, friends and loved ones.”
The attack happened while the keeper was working in an enclosure with two Persian leopards. The park had previously said she was in a critical condition. The Dutch Labour Inspectorate is investigating the incident.
