Real Madrid beat Sevilla 4-1 at the Bernabéu on Sunday, setting up next weekend’s meeting with Barcelona with a win in their final league match beforehand. Arda Güler and Kylian Mbappé scored first-half goals, and Mbappé added a Panenka penalty after the break. [1]

Güler opened the scoring in the 30th minute, striking first time from the edge of the box after a pass from Yan Diomande. Mbappé doubled the lead with a solo finish, controlling Jude Bellingham’s backheel, getting past goalkeeper Odysseas Vlachodimos and scoring.

Mbappé made it 3-0 from the penalty spot shortly after the hour. Manuel Bueno pulled one back for Sevilla in the 81st minute after Mbappé lost possession, before Diomande restored the three-goal margin with a powerful shot.

Barcelona, who had won all nine of their league matches, were top of the table, six points ahead of Real Madrid, the report said. They were due to host Madrid the following Sunday. Denzel Dumfries remained on Real’s substitutes’ bench. [1]
