The Dutch football association (KNVB) says it has imposed a five-year nationwide stadium ban and a €100 fine on a 13-year-old boy it says entered the pitch during the Netherlands–Germany international. News agency ANP reports that the match took place in September and ended 1–1. [1]
A KNVB spokesperson said spectators are strictly forbidden from entering the pitch so players can compete safely and without interruption. The rule is displayed at the stadium, the spokesperson said, and the consequence of breaking it is set out in the association’s stadium-ban guidelines for the 2026/27 season. [1]
The KNVB also said it intends to seek compensation from the boy’s legal representatives for any damage resulting from the pitch entry. It gave a possible UEFA sanction as an example of a loss it might seek to recover, not as a penalty that had been imposed. [1]
