AI ANALYSIS & OPINION
Editorial illustrationAll ten candidates had already received Trump’s endorsement in May. His latest voting appeal comes ahead of Pennsylvania’s 27 October deadline for ordinary postal-ballot applications.

President Donald Trump has renewed his backing for Stacy Garrity for Pennsylvania governor and nine Republican members of the US House ahead of the 3 November election, repeating choices he had made before the state’s May primary.
The 22 October Truth Social post, preserved by Trump’s Truth archive, gives the group his “Complete and Total Endorsement”. The American Presidency Project reproduces separate endorsements for all ten candidates dated 18 May. Trump’s latest message does not describe the endorsements as new.
Garrity, Pennsylvania’s state treasurer, is challenging Democratic Governor Josh Shapiro.
The House choices include Ryan Mackenzie in the 7th district, Rob Bresnahan in the 8th and Scott Perry in the 10th. Spotlight PA’s September election guide identified all three contests as toss-ups in Cook Political Report’s assessment, putting them among the races that could help determine control of the House.
Trump also backed Dan Meuser in the 9th district, Lloyd Smucker in the 11th, John Joyce in the 13th, Guy Reschenthaler in the 14th, Glenn Thompson in the 15th and Mike Kelly in the 16th.
The candidate appeal quotes a separate voting message that Trump’s Truth dates a minute earlier. That earlier message contains no candidate list: it urges Republicans to vote early and return postal ballots immediately. Similar state-focused appeals, including messages to Oklahoma and South Dakota, appear in that day’s posts.
Both Pennsylvania messages link to Swamp the Vote USA. The openly partisan page urges Republicans to “keep Pennsylvania red”. Its voting-options form asks for names, residential addresses, email addresses and mobile numbers, and says supplying a phone number enrols users in recurring text messages.
Trump’s earlier message says voters can cast an early in-person ballot through 27 October. Pennsylvania’s official procedure is on-demand postal-ballot voting: once ballots are available, registered voters can apply for, receive, complete and submit a ballot in one visit to their county election office or another officially designated location. Voters should check availability and opening hours with their county.
The ordinary application deadline is 5pm on 27 October—not the final deadline to return a ballot already obtained. Completed civilian postal ballots must reach the county election office by 8pm on 3 November. A postmark by election day is not enough.
