The Bureau of Prisons says Sean “Diddy” Combs has moved from a New Jersey prison to a low-security facility in Pennsylvania, but has not disclosed why.

Sean “Diddy” Combs has been transferred from a federal prison in New Jersey to a low-security facility in Pennsylvania, the US Bureau of Prisons says. Officials have not explained the move, citing privacy and security reasons.
Combs was moved on Friday to FCI Allenwood Low, a prison official told the BBC. His spokesman, Juda S Engelmayer, said the transfer was from one low-security facility to another and was consistent with a decision made with safety and security in mind.
The move comes as Combs appeals his conviction on two counts of transporting people to engage in prostitution, asking an appeals court to overturn it and release him from prison. He was sentenced to 50 months in October 2025. A US appeals court heard arguments in April but has yet to issue a decision, according to the BBC. [1]
FCI Allenwood Low is about 155 miles (250km) west of New York City. Its website lists about 1,044 inmates, compared with more than 4,200 across the two campuses of Fort Dix, where Combs had been held. The Bureau of Prisons declined to comment on reports about his conditions in custody, saying it does not discuss individual prisoners’ circumstances.
Combs was acquitted of the more serious charges of sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy. His release date is listed as 2 March 2028 in prison records, the BBC reported. [1]
