A 2-1 home win over Norway has secured Portugal’s place in the Nations League quarter-finals, with two group-stage rounds still to play.

Kristoffer Ajer gave Norway the lead in Porto before João Cancelo equalised and Gonçalo Ramos scored the winner. Ramos had also struck the winning goal when Portugal beat Norway 2-1 in Oslo a week earlier. Francisco Conceição was sent off shortly before the end of Sunday’s match. [1]
Portugal have 12 points from four matches and can finish no lower than second in League A Group 4. The quarter-finals are scheduled for March.
Denmark beat Wales 1-0 in Cardiff through a Rasmus Højlund penalty and sit second in the group on six points. Wales and Norway have three each, with the final two rounds due in November. [1]
