Luke Woodhouse beat defending champion Luke Littler in the first round of the World Grand Prix in Leicester.

Littler took the opening set in the best-of-three match, but Woodhouse levelled and won the deciding set 3–1 in legs, sealing victory with a 75 checkout. Littler averaged 82.41. [1]
Woodhouse is due to face Nathan Aspinall in the last 16 after Aspinall beat Kevin Doets 2–1. Ryan Joyce also advanced, coming from behind to beat six-time winner Michael van Gerwen 2–1 after Van Gerwen lost five of the final six legs. [1]
