Kensington’s new single “Carry On” draws on a break-up lead singer Jason Dowd says he is still processing. The band plan to play it at two Amsterdam shows in December.

Kensington have released “Carry On”, their first single since the album *First Rodeo*, with lead singer Jason Dowd saying the song reflects a break-up he is still processing.
The Utrecht band put out the track on Friday. Dowd told ANP that its message is about finding a way to carry on when life makes it hard to know what to do next.
The single is the first since *First Rodeo*, on which Dowd appeared for the first time. The band released other new tracks earlier this year on an expanded edition of the album.
Dowd, who has been Kensington’s lead singer for nearly two years, now lives permanently in the Netherlands. He said he enjoys the culture and that the experience of being in the band still feels unreal.
Kensington are due to play two shows at Amsterdam’s Ziggo Dome in early December. Dowd said the set will include “Carry On” and older songs the band have not previously played live. He said he could not yet reveal what comes after the concerts.
