Jessica Lange says she feels her acting career may be nearing its end, and that her latest film, *Long Day’s Journey Into Night*, could make a fitting farewell. The 77-year-old actor made the comments in an interview with *Rolling Stone*, according to Nieuws.nl.
“I actually feel I’m coming to the end,” Lange said. “And perhaps it’s not a bad way to stop, with *Long Day’s Journey Into Night* as my last film and the role of Mary Tyrone.”
Lange, a two-time Oscar winner, said it was becoming harder to get interesting film projects made. There were few roles for older actresses, she said, adding that the kinds of films she was interested in were no longer easy to make.
She has several projects in development, including a film about Marlene Dietrich, though it is uncertain whether that project will go ahead. Lange also recently appeared in the 13th season of *American Horror Story*.
She won Academy Awards for *Tootsie* (1982) and *Blue Sky* (1994), and is also known for *King Kong* and *American Horror Story*.
