A documentary about the foiled 2024 attack plot that led to Taylor Swift’s Vienna concerts being cancelled is in production, with a release expected in October 2027.
The film, titled *Taylor Swift Wien*, is directed by Andreas Pichler and Veronika Kaserer and will be broadcast by German public broadcaster ZDF before an international release, Nieuws.nl reports.
The documentary is planned around three perspectives: the intelligence services’ efforts to prevent the attack, Swift’s fans in Vienna and the main suspect, who was 19 at the time. Its synopsis frames the story as a clash between the inclusive Swifties community and online radicalisation and toxic masculinity.
Three concerts in the Austrian capital were cancelled in August 2024 after authorities warned of an attack. Austrian authorities foiled the plot, with help from a tip by US intelligence, according to the report. The suspect, identified as Beran A., was sentenced to 15 years in prison.
