Aiaz Baetov presented his credentials to UN Secretary-General António Guterres on 1 October 2026 as Kyrgyzstan’s new Permanent Representative to the organisation. [1]
Kyrgyzstan’s Permanent Mission says Baetov was appointed in September. He had served as justice minister from October 2021 and as deputy chair of the Cabinet of Ministers from March 2025. [1]
The mission’s biography says Baetov also served as director of the National Institute for Strategic Initiatives under Kyrgyzstan’s president in 2025. [1]
