Talpa Studios plans to take two programmes destined for Dutch broadcaster SBS6 to the international television industry event in Cannes.
Talpa Studios plans to present Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators to international television makers at MIPCOM in Cannes, which runs from 12 to 15 October. The showcase will put two programmes being made for Dutch broadcaster SBS6 in front of potential international partners. Nieuws.nl reports the plan, citing Variety’s account of a company announcement. [1]
Talpa also plans to highlight programmes developed with other companies. It worked with IDTV on Sing With Me, with ITV Studios in the UK on Moordfeest, known internationally as A Party to Die For, and with Banijay Benelux and Signal.Stream on Let’s Play Ball. [1]
Talpa’s global distribution director, Sebastian van Barneveld, says international partnerships play an important role in the company’s growth. Talpa says collaborations account for more than 40% of its catalogue. Sing With Me and The Golden Elevators are still in production, and Nieuws.nl gives no SBS6 broadcast dates. [1]
