Isaac Slade, the former frontman of The Fray, played a short opening set at Ed Sheeran’s concert in Atlanta on Saturday. He performed the band’s songs “How to Save a Life” and “Over My Head (Cable Car)”. [1]
The appearance followed a change to Sheeran’s supporting line-up. Nieuws.nl reported that the previous opening performers, including Sheeran’s backing band, withdrew last month after the tour organiser dropped Macklemore over pro-Palestinian remarks at a show. Sheeran apologised at his previous concert, in Philadelphia. [1]
Slade also spoke about Gaza during the Atlanta show. He said what was happening there was wrong and called for people willing to take a middle position, Nieuws.nl reported, citing American media. [1]
