The Dutch regulator raised concerns after its staff were named in a published email, but received no pledge from Microsoft against a repeat disclosure.

The Dutch Authority for Consumers and Markets (ACM) received no undertaking from Microsoft that its officials’ names would not be disclosed again, State Secretary for the Interior Eric van der Burg told parliament in a letter reported by Dutch news agency ANP. [1]
In May, Microsoft and Meta shared an ACM email inviting the companies to talks with the US House of Representatives. ACM officials’ names were left visible when the emails were made public. [1]
The ACM board raised its concerns with Microsoft and said it had not been told the email would be made public. The date of that discussion was not specified. [1]
Van der Burg also told MPs he had raised the matter with US ambassador Joe Popolo in August, stressing that civil servants must be able to do their jobs. He gave no further details of their conversation. [1]
