Dumfries hopes for a win over Serbia as Van Dijk prepares to reach 100 appearances for the Netherlands.

Denzel Dumfries says the Netherlands want to give captain Virgil van Dijk a victory to mark his expected 100th international appearance in Sunday’s home Nations League match against Serbia. Dumfries is himself due to make his 80th appearance, ANP reported in a story published by Nieuws.nl on 3 October. [1]
Van Dijk made his Netherlands debut against Kazakhstan in October 2015. Ahead of Sunday’s match, he stood 11th on the men’s national team’s appearances list. [1]
