The Netherlands’ 155-day run of temperatures reaching at least 15°C somewhere in the country ended on Sunday, with a high of 12.6°C recorded on Vlieland.
Review information is loading.
Temperatures stayed below 15°C across the Netherlands on Sunday for the first time since 16 May, ending a 155-day run in which at least one Dutch weather station had recorded 15°C or more, according to weather service Weeronline, cited by ANP [1].
The warmest reading on Sunday was 12.6°C on the island of Vlieland. De Bilt, the site of the country’s main weather station, had already failed to reach 15°C the previous week.
The 155-day streak was not a record: in 2025, temperatures reached at least 15°C somewhere in the Netherlands for 176 consecutive days. That run also ended on 18 October, ANP reported.
