The death toll from a ferry sinking in Indonesia’s Java Sea has risen to 64, with 71 people still missing nearly two weeks later.

The Virgo Transport 8 was travelling from Java to Borneo with 213 passengers and 30 crew members when it lost contact with its operator. An Indonesian search-and-rescue official put the number of survivors at 108, with 64 dead and 71 missing. [1]
The official said four bodies had been recovered from the sunken ferry and another seven found along the coast. [1]
