Vastgoed Belang, an association of private landlords in the Netherlands, called the proposed increase in box 3 wealth taxation unacceptable. It estimates that the cabinet plans presented on Tuesday would raise private landlords’ tax burden by more than 31.2% in 2027. Its response was reported by ANP and published by Nieuws.nl on 30 September. [1]
The association is also concerned about plans to change how rented homes are valued. It says tax bills already exceed rental income for a growing group of landlords, forcing sales, and expects the new plans to intensify that pressure. [1]
