The Rhine stood at 6.10 metres at Lobith on Sunday, two centimetres below the previous low recorded in August.

The Rhine fell to its lowest recorded level at Lobith, where the river enters the Netherlands, at around noon on Sunday, 27 September. Rijkswaterstaat measurements put the water level at 6.10 metres, ANP reported via Nieuws.nl. Measurements at Lobith began in 1866. [1]
The previous low, recorded in August, was 6.12 metres. Rijkswaterstaat had expected the level to fall further because of persistent drought across the Rhine’s catchment, ANP reported. [1]
